Places to Visit

The Brandenburg Gate is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Berlin. It was built in the 18th century, and Prussian King Frederick William II was the man to order its building. If you’re visiting in the winter, you can view fireworks set off in front of the gate on New Year’s Eve. The monument is definitely a must-see, and it’s beautiful even if you’re not very interested in history.

The Berlin Wall is another great place to visit to understand the history of this interesting city. At one point, this wall separated East Berlin from West Germany. Now, after its fall, it is looked at as a symbol of the reunification of Germany, where peace was finally brought to the city. There is now a mural on part of the wall, which is a beautiful spot to enjoy the beauty of city art.

In the heart of Berlin, a very unique area was created for museums. This area is called Museum Island, and it’s located on Spreeinsel. Museum Island includes five different museums and is an area that all will enjoy exploring. Here, you can view classical art, Egyptian art, Byzantine art, and more.
